BOTAVED SHALL EXECUTE OMI TUNTUN 2.0 TRANSFORMATIONAL VISION FOR EFFECTIVE VOCATIONAL EDUCATION. || ELDER AYOADE ADEKOLA

Elder Ayoade Adekola, Chairman of the Board of Technical and Vocational Education (BOTAVED), met with the principals of Government Technical Colleges in Oyo State and the principal officers of BOTAVED to discuss the future of technical and vocational education in the state. During this pivotal meeting, Elder Adekola assured all attendees of his commitment to the accelerated development and transformation of technical and vocational education in alignment with the Omi Tuntun 2.0 vision.

In his address, Elder Adekola emphasized the critical role of technical and vocational education in the overall development of the nation and the emancipation of Nigeria's youth population. He highlighted the unfortunate trend where many graduates turn to vocational studies only after years of joblessness. Elder Adekola stressed that this should not be the case and that vocational and technical education should be prioritized from the outset to equip the youth with the skills needed for immediate employment and entrepreneurship.

Elder Adekola pledged to collaborate closely with the Commissioners for Education, Establishment, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the desired transformation of technical and vocational education as envisioned by His Excellency, the Governor. This collaboration aims to create a more robust and dynamic educational framework that meets the demands of the modern economy and fosters sustainable development."I am deeply committed to driving the transformation of technical and vocational education in Oyo State. The future of our youth and the prosperity of our state depend significantly on our ability to provide adequate and high-quality vocational training. This is a pivotal step towards reducing unemployment and fostering economic growth," Elder Adekola stated.

He extends his heartfelt gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde for the privilege to serve in this capacity and expressed his appreciation for the cooperation and dedication of the principals and senior officers present. Elder Adekola called for continued collaboration and support to achieve the desired turnaround in the technical and vocational education sector.

"As we embark on this journey, I want to thank the Governor for this opportunity and express my gratitude to the principals and senior officers for their commitment to this cause. Together, we can achieve a remarkable transformation that will benefit our youth and our state," he concluded.
