It is interesting how these very minute set of people have been able to stir up so much tension in the past few weeks, the kind that they dared not attempt in the 8yrs of Ajimobi; trying desperately to overheat the polity and planning to benefit therein.
I have always been afraid of setting wrong precedences and judging by records, it would be stupid and self-destruct for any Governor not to toll the path taken by Governor Seyi Makinde in the present circumstances; dissolution of the ill-conceived, poorly executed LG elections with sinister motives that brought the ranting "all-gone" Chairman can never stand the test of time.
We must be objective and patriotic in this instance and the doctrine of necessity must play out; otherwise, how do you expect the Councils to be run by opposition where the House of Assembly is dominated by ruling party; the crises and the way they will overheat the polity will be unprecedented. The painful thing is, it's the masses that will feel the pains of the crises and maladministration.
A situation where the government at the center will join the locals in fomenting troubles is condemnable; how can the Attorney General be writing on a matter that is in court or does he expects litigants to back down just because the Supreme Court gave ruling in similar case?
We must not be ignorant of the devices of the enemies too; the bigger picture after losing out of the Supreme court scheming is to cause enough crises in Oyo state that will enable the enactment of State of Emergency in the Pacesetter state; that will definitely lead to more than what all our armed forces can handle but I pray it won't get to that point.
The good people of Oyo State have spoken and it is stupendous to think they can be cowed or intimidated into compromising their mandate through any scheming or Federal manipulation. The resolve of the people is sacrosanct; they are not bending, they are not stopping. The only reasonable thing for the APC former Chairmen to do is to prepare very well for the next local government elections, peradventure, one or two of them might succeed. Anything other than this is an effort in futility.
Unfortunately, the architect of this misfortune for the APC "all-gone" Chairmen never envisaged loss of the authority constituted in him; he erroneously believed he can perpetuate himself in power and ended up building castles in the air. Nobody challenged him, even when he was obviously erring but someone must take the fall and it's a pity the Chairmen are ranting. Even the error of conducting elections into the local government development Areas is enough to silence them but when a group of people are desperate for power, it takes more than mere words or gentle actions to silence them.
This GSM is too protected with people oriented porches, nano-screen guard and well insured with the mandate and love of the people. Trying to pull GSM down is courting the wrath of God and the violence of the people; those who love peace will decipher this and people otherwise will experience it.
The All-gone Chairmen are gone for real, the ALGON Chairmen and Administrators should continue with their good deeds; there's nothing the ranting goat can do to it's owner.
