GROUP COMMENDS SENATOR BALOGUN ON IBADAN AIRPORT:
Providence Coalition, a sociopolitical group with its headquarters in Ibadan has commended the Oyo South Senator, Dr. Mohammed Kola Balogun for the motion he moved for the upgrade of Ibadan domestic Airport, Alakia to International Airport.
In a Press release signed by the administrative Secretary of the group in the name of its Chairman, Prince Niran Adeyoju, the group affirms that Senator Balogun has become the pride of Oyo State at the Senate has demonstrated beyond reasonable doubts that the Senator is at the upper Chamber for good representation.
"As one of the groups that worked for his victory at the polls, we are proud of his focus and strides in the few months of the 9th national Assembly. Getting 37 Senators to co-sponsor the motion, irrespective of party affiliations and geopolitical region makes it even exceptionally commendable. It is a fact that Ibadan International Airport will be a great blessing to the whole of Southwest Nigeria, not just Oyo State" the group's Chairman said.
The statement concludes by praying that God shall continue to strengthen Senator Balogun for more giant strides and bond of love with his colleagues at the national Assembly.
Signed.

METAMORPHOSIS STARTS TODAY -THE YOUTHS AND THEIR FAMILIES:
METAMORPHOSIS STARTS TODAY;
THE YOUTHS AND THEIR FAMILIES:
One thing I found very interesting about New Covenant Youth Church then was the fact that parents and other siblings followed us to Church. In my case, my 3 sisters joined the Youth Church and my parents joined the Adult Church at Cocoa House. The Youth Church was a congregation parents were proud their children and wards belong and siblings would want to experience what you enjoyed.
IT FLOWS FROM ABOVE: The New Covenant Church is a family Church and that explains the same unction on the Youth Church. Many of us are in the same age brackets and our siblings can easily flow with one another too. The Olojedes, Tony and Kumbi Awobode, Sis Kunbi Agboola and all her siblings, Sis Mojirola Aderemi-Adigwe and Sis Moradeke Aderemi-Alabi. The Osibos, the Ayeduns, the Majekodunmis, the Akibos, the Abisoguns, the Olojedes, Sis Fisayo and Bola (the few I can remember as I write now); you just come, find your level and meet your peers. It was awesome.
THE BOND OF LOVE: Beyond what we professed, the demonstration of love unfeigned was encouraging. Members always turned up for one another; the follow up was superb and when there waa celebration, it became overwhelming though majority were students and unemployed then. I can never forget the attendance at my wedding at Oyo town on 2001; apart from Sola Olojede, Tony Awobode, Yomi Ayedun, Boye Oyewole and Ladi Osibo that were my groom's men, the leaders and the whole Church relocated to Oyo. That was same for many other events and activities.
WE CELEBRATED OUR UNIQUENESS: We were so unique and we carried it with pride. I remember engaging Pst Shambach on some of the Church activities and he told me productive activities help the youths to remain focused and take their mind off lust and social vices that would have otherwise expended their energies on. I can remember the expression on people's faces when I mentioned about going for football training with my Church team, they always questioned it then but it's a common thing now for churches to have football teams. The excitement and passion for our uniqueness contributed to the attraction to us. The road shows often coordinated by Tony Awobode, David Abraham and others were always a delight to watch.
In conclusion, God has been so good to us and we are excited about worshiping at the place of our first love again. Yes, we will fellowship with one another and praise God together.
The Reunion activities start today and as a member of the family, I am excited about seeing faces I have not seen for years, remembering some old jokes and teasing about grey hairs and extra fats. Lol. Above all, it's an opportunity to celebrate God's faithfulness and goodness in one another's live and have moments of worship together.
Since we enjoyed so much love and got so blessed at the Destiny Refinery, we must ensure such opportunities are replicated for youths of today to enjoy; we trust God for great things during and after this Reunion.
Today's activities: Testimony Night, 5pm at NCC Zion Centre, Dugbe Ibadan.
Sunday Jesus Feast: 9am at Obisesan Hall, Dugbe Ibadan.
Join us and be richly blessed.

GSM - A "GOD SENT MAN" TO OYO STATE. By Bro Mike
GSM - A "GOD SENT MAN" TO OYO STATE
During our last edition which is also our maiden edition, we made it clear that there was no better choice than Engineer Seyi Makinde. The governor of Oyo State in just 100 days has shown that he is well prepared, adequately ready and mentally fit to tinker Oyo State to the place of our dreams.
In the last 100 days, GSM as fondly called by the citizens of Oyo State has showed dexterity, dedication, focus, consciousness, firmness, decisiveness and forthrightness in the business of leading Oyo State. He had done the things that no public servant has tried; He had made bold and deliberate appointments that even the opposition parties had to commend.
One of the many things we have seen in past 100 days of Governor Seyi Makinde is the creative ways he had handled and managed all traditional, government and established institutions and parastatals. It had been copious. He had established a synergy between all the arms of government and Oyo State is again drawing positive attention from external stakeholders.
One of the first responsibilities of any government is the security of lives and properties of the people and in this regard, GSM has shown that he is intentional about the securing the lives of Oyo State citizens and he will not support, aid or motivate anything that will jeopardize the peace and tranquility of our dear state. Only few states in Nigeria can boast of sound, concrete, effective and efficient security architecture as we have in Oyo State.
The way our darling Governor has positioned Oyo State for investors and opportunities in just his 100 days in office is unbelievable. You can literally feel the Midas touch of GSM in every sector of our state. We are no doubt blessed to have a governor that thinks of Oyo State indigenes first. Let me show you if you don’t know and remind you in case you have forgotten about SOME of GSM’s Achievements in 100 days in Office and their implications
Suspension of NURTW activities – The transport union was suspended to ensure and enforce peace in the state. The motor garages have been sanitized and peace has been restored in all our garages.
Free Education – Before GSM came on board, Oyo State was ranking high in the list of states with out- of -school children because of the high handedness and lackadaisical attitude of the last administration in Oyo State towards basic primary and secondary school children. The coming of GSM has introduced new policies and taken bold steps to resolve the educational quagmire in our state. Basic primary and secondary school education in public schools is now free with free books and pens.
Prompt Salaries – Before now, prompt payment of salaries used to be unusual, rare and even when it is paid late in some quarters, it is either half or quarter salaries. Since GSM came, we now enjoy prompt payment of full salaries.
Merited Appointments – Even the opposition parties acknowledge the capacity and ability of the appointees of our Governor. The governor has gathered around himself very brilliant individuals who have what it takes to join hands with him for the total transformation of Oyo State
Record Breaking Commissioners List – When the list of men that will man our various government ministries was announced, one clear message it sent to our enemies camp is that Seyi Makinde means business and he cannot be manipulated. For the first time, since our return to democracy in 1999, we have a 27 years old as Commissioner for Youth and Sports.
Declaration of Assets – No public official apart from maybe former President Musa Yar’Adua openly declared his whole assets until our own God sent GSM did it. Now, the whole world knows that we have a financially prudent governor in Oyo state. He has also instituted a first time Financial Crimes Commission in Oyo State.
Elaborating on the achievements of GSM in the last 100 days cannot be exhausted in one edition of our magazine. It is so loud that he is the only governor that has trended online for something positive more than once since May 29, 2019 when new governors were sworn in. He has shown that he has what it takes and he is a man prepared for leadership.
The commitment of Governor Seyi Makinde to return Oyo State to the pacesetting status is one that should be encouraged, supported and prayed for.
Let me end by saying that change is a process. GSM has an implementable Roadmap For Accelerated Development of Oyo State and I am certain that the government appointees and commissioners have bought into it.
There is no better time to be identified with Oyo State than now.
We are in for the best of times in Oyo State.

GOVERNOR SEYI MAKINDE: 100 DAYS OF WALKING THE PACE SETTING PROMISE. By Deji Ola
GOVERNOR SEYI MAKINDE: 100 DAYS OF WALKING THE PACE SETTING PROMISE
" Achievers are not born talented but they possess the "I can do it attitude" -Gladys Bejani
This quote reminds me of how the struggle of Omituntun started in our state. Prior to 2015 general elections, the mantra postal flooded the nooks and crannies of the state with two images; ocean and whale. One will wonder what is the idea behind this unique slogan.
After months of wondering aloud, I decided to take the responsibility upon my self in knowing the brain behind it. For I know that our party- PDP is in a state of comatose then and nobody is ready to take up the recussitation process. Interestingly, I got to know the prime mover and this further motivated me to get information about his profile, antecedents both private and public life.
The man in question is a successful man in business world and maritally. It is no doubt the best choice to give such man a chance to rewrite our pace setting goals in State of Oyo.
He tried hard to come on board as Governor of the state earlier but the Divine Creator destined that this is the best time. His achievements so far within 100 days in office is not a surprise for people like me as his ways, beliefs, career and people he associate with speak volumes on what could be the end result of his administration. It is however important to itemize some of these achievements for the sake of emphasy.
" There are two primary choices in life: to accept conditions as they exist, or accept the responsibility for changing them " Denis Waitley. Governor Seyi Makinde did not engage in blame games as he was able to commend past adminittration on the area where they performed averagely while also leveraging on the available resources to complete all abandoned projects. This alone is enough to define a man with genuine mission to liberate his people from shackle and manacle of oppressors. When His Excellency forfeited his four years salary for Teachers' pension, I thought I have seen enough not until I confirmed from pensioners on how they are enjoying uninterrupted salary since Seyi Makinde took the mantle of power. Meanwhile, “Retirement is wonderful if you have two essentials; much to live on and much to live for.” Verily, Our pensioners can quote this without any fear of contradictions as they can project enough to live with in this current administration. During his inauguration, one of many punch line worthy of note in his speech is his readiness to encourage all inclusive governance while giving priority to accountability. He said and I quote: "We want all of you to be a part of the implementation as we work together to move our state forward. We may make decisions that are sometimes uncomfortable but we will try our best to always be just, fair and act with the fear of God . I am here as your Governor to serve you. I will work tirelessly and take responsibility for the workings of every sector. While I will delegate effectively, the buck will stop with me. I want you to hold me accountable and I will also hold you accountable as we work as partners to bring Oyo State to glory"_
With this, I can't agree more that he is truly our saviour. In any Government, once accountability is assured, every other thing will be in order as it is a clear signal that his administration will be zero tolerance for corruption. No doubt, we are setting pace for other states. "Accountability breeds response-ability" -Stephen R. Covey. His excellency is no doubt responsive to our challenges as a state and he is ready to achieve a lot before four years which will in turn speak for him after his first tenure. I am optimistic that he will reposition our party to winning form in the whole South West.
One thing that is worthy of more emphasis about Governor Seyi Makinde (GSM) is his decision on fulfilling his campaign promises. This is unusual in our political settings. He is not deviating from his electioneering promises as steps is being taken in that direction. His action on total free education for primary and secondary school is a clear indication that he is astute follower of Chief Obafemi Awolowo (Awoist) in another flesh. He has never for once forgoften how he enjoyed absolute free education hence the need to give it back to the people he has promised to serve. His school of thought is that this will reduce level of out of school students in the state. The mother of all is his free exercise book agenda which will further encourage sound education in the state.
I am bold enough to say that GSM mean business after studying his agricultural policies. With the pace at which he is moving and the calibre of people he is appointing to handle various ministries, it is safe for one to say our state will soon become point of reference for other states which are aiming to break-even in agriculture. His effort toward making oyo state the destination for international business is crystal clear as he is doing everything humanly possible to ensure enabling environment, friendly policies which will definitely give opportunities to the people of the state. How much can I emphasize on the early payment of salary for civil servants. No wonder my people are now smiling to various bank on or before 25th of every month. This will not only be prolific for civil servants but will also ensure adequate circulation of funds in the state economy as research have it that, once civil servants are being paid salary constantly, the poor woman selling láfu in molete market will surely feel the impact let alone people in their various workshops.
If you will agree with me, it is a new dawn in our state. We now have a Governor who is feeling the pains of his people and who is ready to go any length to ensure that they all smile with fulfilled mind. In fulfilment of his campaign promises to ensure adequate security. He had to retain special security apparatus called Operation Burst. This shows that he is free from politics of bitterness because in the real sense, one will think since it is not innovation of his party, he will abolish it and introduce another strategy to cub insecurity, he deserves our nod on this as father of continuity. Unfortunately, this article can not accommodate all his achievements of the first 100 days in office but the way and manner to which he is accepted by his people during and after election shows that he is truly the chosen one.
“ It’s not about ideas. It’s about making ideas happen.” Scott Belsky. GSM has ideas and he is ready to make it happen. I will implore everyone to give him unconditional support while he sails the state to the promise land.

GSM @ 100 DAYS AND WHEN OPPORTUNITY MEETS PREPARATION
GSM @ 100 DAYS AND WHEN OPPORTUNITY MEETS PREPARATION
The 100 days that seemed so far has come and the time of first reckoning is here; we will see how far Governor Seyi Makinde has gone with his new era (Omi Tuntun) mantra, how much of his electoral promises he has fulfilled and if the people sighing for relief. Even scorners will find it difficult to deny the sincerity and determination of GSM to deliver in the last 100 days but what are the deliverables on ground.
That Engr Seyi Makinde lost elections before this great victory is no news and it got so bad that his name was almost synonymous with electoral loss. As a matter of fact, our major opponents in the last election called him their customer, meaning he's a serial loser. However, though he lost elections, he never lost focus, though he didn't attain the throne, he never stopped building his empire.
It is part of the profile of Engr Seyi Makinde that he attended Leadership training in the US, he studied Comprehension and Resolution of Complex Business Problems at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. UU and also had a course at Lagos Business School; he was not only making frantic efforts to win elections, he was thoroughly prepared for the tasks ahead.
FAILING FORWARD: This is the title of a book by Dr. John C. Maxwell and I can never forget how this impacted me; every failure is an opportunity to re-evaluate, re-position and re-launch yourself into your vision. For every failed attempt, like Thomas Edison put it, you've known several ways that can never work. From 2006 till date, I have watched and seen how Engr. Seyi Makinde has risen after every major loss, returned with bigger bangs and never repeated same mistakes. I have noticed with interest how the past failures have turned out to be steps closer to his destination and have equipped him for exemplary leadership. Now as Governor Seyi Makinde, he has very good understanding of the people of Oyo State, the politicians and the general masses; they are the lessons from over a decade of different attempts at electoral victory. I can name many money bags that came into Oyo State politics, failed at first and or second attempts and quitted but GSM is not just a good lesson in persistence and consistency, he has demonstrated in the last hundred days that he knows Oyo state very well. You may call those days the wilderness experience if you like but everything has worked out for his good now.
UNDERSTANDING THE PEOPLE: The value of life in Oyo State has increased; security of lives and properties are not compromised on the table of partisanship. The security agencies were visited, encouraged and motivated while equipments are on the way. The anti-grazing bill too is putting humans ahead of cattle. Can we say many years of relating with the downtrodden through philanthropic activities have taught him what matters to the people? Without mincing words, the GSM administration makes the people feel important, more important than the elected officials. The civil servants have sense of importance and relevance beyond previous experiences, the electorate feel someone is sincere with them and everyone has someone to truly look up to for leadership and direction. This is something that mere turning Oyo state into big construction site can not achieve. The projects are for the people and not people for the project. The supply of exercise books without party logo or Governor's image is new and commendable. Purchase of 100 brand new cars for security agencies, before government appointees and governor's office is classical demonstration of servant leadership. The electorate can now see who is the employer and who is truly serving them, compared to past bullying and executive recklessness.
RESTRUCTURING GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS: With the information garnered by GSM, one would expect him to just complain and give excuses about the rottenness on ground but he has chosen to be solution conscious instead. Though the last administration laid many booby traps for him, he has not only succeeded in evading them, he has turned them around to hunt the predators instead; he has worked assiduously to build institutions, restructure the operations of ministry and parastatals. For instance, all revenue payments are to go straight into government coffers and consultants will be paid their due percentages afterwards. Unlike before when monies are paid directly to consultants and then government gets due percentage. During the campaign, he kept talking about blocking leakages but many of us didn't know how he intended to accomplish this, though we knew he doesn't say what he doesn't mean. No doubt, he has had enough time to prepare mentally, spiritually and psychologically for this task. GSM is indeed for such a time as this.
BUDGET INTEGRITY: The annual budget which is supposed to be a law has always being a documented falsehood in Nigeria; a promissory note without financial backing. The implementation rate has never exceeded 30% because the proposed sources of funding are not realistic, they are not within the controls of the agents handling the budgets execution. GSM has come to reverse the situation and make sure only realistic revenues go into budgets, which makes it a true legal document of annual promises of the government to the people. With this, there's about 90% assurance that once an item is captured in the budget, the funds are sure and implementation certain. What a way to go forward. GSM has not only learnt from electoral failures, he has learnt from failures of previous administrations in Oyo State and Nigeria in generally.
YOU CAN'T SOLVE A PROBLEM YOU DONT KNOW: For instance, the regular payments of salaries and pensions is a demonstration that GSM understands what was responsible for the delay or nonpayment; he understands the roles of misplaced priority, greed, wickedness and lack of motivation for those whose duties it is to make prompt payments. I have heard many governorship candidates make promises but deviate from the path as soon as they won because electoral promises are lies to win elections but we have a leader in Oyo State who keeps reminding us of his promises during the campaign and his determination to keep them. This is business unusual and leadership uncommon. GSM in the last 100 days is not providing temporary solution to any problem and that is why he appears slow in his steps; they are calculated and deliberate steps, using his own words. Appropriate diagnosis of a sickness is a demonstration of your expertise and hope of giving right prescriptions that will cure the illness. However, when a physician keeps complaining to the patient about how complex the sickness is and how former physicians failed in prescriptions and couldn't proffer solutions, he has sent the patient closer to the grave. GSM is not telling us about the details of the rottenness, he's just minding the healing and rejuvenation of Oyo State back to the pacesetter status. Whenever I see this man they now call GSM- God Sent Man, I wonder how one can know so much and still remain reticent.
PREREQUISITES TO ACCELERATION: Many people have asked me why things are not running as fast as they anticipated but I always told them that the one who promised accelerated development must first make the roads and vehicles for the acceleration possible. The promise of accelerated development is a road map but the vehicle for the journey must be in sound condition too. Even the Bible says no man starts building without sitting down to count the cost of it. The map is available but the road and vehicles must be in great shape too; the civil servants must be well motivated and the infrastructures renovated, constructed and appropriately prioritised. If the road is bad but the vehicle is good, the acceleration will be poor, though the map is accurate. If the road is good but the engine of the car is knocked, there can't be appreciable movement, talkless of acceleration. However, with good road and vehicle, the roadmap becomes a great asset in the hand of the travellers.
Failing forward is just showing how the best attitudes can make you get the best out challenges; how what you have gone through can make you better if you are not bitter. Past failures in governance and personal electoral challenges and losses have equipped GSM for this great task. The evidence in the last 100 days have shown beyond reasonable doubts that Engr Seyi Makinde did not just prepare well to win election, he was adequately prepared for governance and attendant leadership responsibilities.
The editorial board of The People's Magazine congratulates Governor Seyi Makinde because in 100 days, he has not only done well, his public profile has risen well above when he just won the election and he has become a good reference point in public leadership in Nigeria.
GSM; NOW ON PATH OF DESTINY, POSTERITY SHALL RECKON.
EL-ZAKZAKKY'S CONTINUED DETENTION: A DANGEROUS PRECEDENT- By Bimbo Shokunbi Esq
The hallmark of a democracy is Separation of Powers which in turn guarantees the Rule of Law. In a democracy, Rule of Law rules over Rule of Man.
The I999 Constitution of Nigeria has clearly spelt out the roles of the three arms of government.
S. 47- 129 talks about LEGISLATURE. The Legislature creates and promulgates laws.
S.130 - 229 talks about the EXECUTIVE which administers policies based on the law.
S. 230 - 296 talks about the JUDICATURE / JUDICIARY which interprets the law and ensures compliance with dictates of the law.
The simple truth here is that the roles of every arm of government is unambiguously stated by the Constitution. The Rule of law is guaranteed if each arm of government plays according to the Rule.
Chapter IV of the Constitution guarantees Fundamental Rights and these provisions are in tandem with provisions of International Conventions .
S.34 of the Constitution says every individual is entitled to respect for the dignity of his person while S.35 says everyone shall be entitled to his personal liberty and that no one shall be deprived of such liberty .It spells out exceptions to this provision.
The Rule of Law makes democracy to thrive. Each arm must take into cognisance the fact that other arms have their roles to play and must as a matter of fact respect and not undermine them in any way. Their roles and powers are clear and separate( oversight functions notwithstanding).
The beauty of Separation of Powers is that "too much" power is not concentrated in one arm. Consequently ,there are "checks and balance".
A court order while still subsisting is to be obeyed by all concerned no matter what anyone feels about it. El- Zakzakki was admitted to bail over a year ago and the Federal Government has refused to release him on the ground of "National Security".
The simple question that needs to be answered here is , who determines what constitutes National Security? National Security must be viewed against the backdrop of Rule of Law.
What the Federal Government has done is to undermine the Judiciary which is very dangerous for democracy and Rule of Law.
If the Federal Government has any evidence at its disposal that makes El Zakzakky to be a security threat, such should have been presented to the court which would now determine whether it is in line with the law to detain him perpetually based on the reasons presented by the Federal Government. The Executive(Federal Government) can not be a Judge in its own case. The FG in this case is prosecuting him and at the same time came to the conclusion( usurped the role/function of the Judiciary) that he should not be released. This is clearly against the principles of Separation of Powers and Rule of Law.
To say the least, the action of the FG is akin to what we see in a dictatorship when all the powers vested in the three arms of government are concentrated in the dictator.
The FG seems to have forgotten that the extra judicial killing of Boko Haram founder Yusuf contributed in no small measures to the Monster that Boko Haram is today. Has the FG considered the implication of his death or that of his wife in custody or can the FG that is still battling to curtail the activities of Boko Haram ,Herdsmen and other security challenges handle the aftermath of his death in custody? The FG with his continued detention is making a hero out of him as it now appears as if he is being persecuted. Why cant the FG release him and place him under watch?
The FG is setting a dangerous precedent by its continued disobedience of a subsisting order of the court. It simply means that subsequently, government and individuals can choose
which order of the court is to be obeyed and which not to obey.
We can not continue to make Nigeria a laughing stock .We expect investors to see us as a serious people when we are telling the whole world that our Government and by extension Nigerians do not obey court orders. No reasonable investor would take us serious.
The threat( to our democracy and implications of his death) in the continued detention of El Zakzakky is greater than what the FG considers as National Security. I rest my case.

FATOYINBO Vs DAKOLOS: LET'S DISSECT BUSOLA DAKOLO'S VIDEO TESTIMONY
FATOYINBO Vs DAKOLOS: LET'S DISSECT THE VIDEO TESTIMONY
:
Since the plaintiff in this case, Busola Dakolo has brought this case to the public court, we have no choice but attend to this matter and keep searching for the truth, not just because those involved but as a lesson for others who are willing to learn. Insisting that I am neither for Dakolos or Fatoyinbo is expedient despite the CAN, Abuja chapter's hand of fellowship to Fatoyinbo and the undiplomatic letter from the Police Force to the Dakolos
I have studied the video and it has helped me to make independent decisions and I am willing to share this with the public:
1. The due diligence done on the interviewer shows he's a lawyer, presenter and entertainer. The most striking information about the 34yrs old Chude Jideonwo is he is a professional that uses the power of the media to stir people to action. He has worked with many reputable organisations and we must safely conclude he knew what he was doing.
However, there are few things worthy of mentioning about the interview he conducted for Mrs Busola Dakolo:
a) He avoided referring to Pst Biodun Fatoyinbo as Pastor, throughout the interview. Though Busola kept referring to same as Pastor for the same duration. That suggests he has passed his judgment on the man and probably holds more resentment for him than the complainant.
b) Though Chude started the interview by feigning ignorance of the details of the accusations but at other points, he led his guest to make important and indicting revelations. Busola evidently rehearsed the interview and she did well. The bad thing was his helping her by concluding that such sexual scandal is an institutional problem with COZA. I think that was too presumptuous and beyond the scope of the interview, haba? Institution means that is what COZA represents.
c). It was an "exclusive interview" with Y! TV and I don't think a professional artistes of Busola status will do that without financial considerations.
d) Chude is a lawyer but he prefers coming to the public court before filing any complaint at the police station. That's not only unprofessional, it is suspicious because he is expected to know it is not enough to alleged someone of such crime, he must be able to prove beyond reasonable doubts that the accused is guilty as alleged.
NOW TO BUSOLA WORDS:
1. Busola refuses to tell us the actual date the crime was committed. She today us it was a Monday morning and about 7am, that's all. What about year and month? In this kind of wicked abuse, telling us your precise age then and date will do more than just telling us you were below 18yrs and in secondary school. No doubt, you met Pst Fatoyinbo as a secondary school student, that was well established in your video testimony but the age and date of crime was cleverly avoided, leaving most people to wrongly assume you were in secondary school when it happened.
2. The video testimony also confirmed that Busola first met Pst Fatoyinbo, then went back to school. She came back and became more active in Pst Fatoyinbo's ministry. There was no any reference to her return to secondary school after the two cases of rape as narrated by her. That suggested she has graduated from secondary school before the alleged rape. The question is: What year did she graduate or sat for WAEC? It is interesting to note that the only date available online pertaining to Busola online is that she wedded Timi Dakolo and that was after two children by Timi.
3. According to Busola's testimony, she's very strong willed and her siblings knew her for it and that was why she was the last to buy into the Pst Fatoyinbo's kind of ministry. With that acclaimed character, it contradicts why such person will hang around a disguised criminal for so long, whether you tell others or not. This suggests that the rape might have taken place but it never led to resentment from you; you never saw him as dangerous and capable of greater harm. You reiterated many times that you were scared of his secret cult background but you never said he threatened your life. You only claimed he told you to do what he tells you and you will be fine. You made it clear you tried to avoid being alone with him but not scared of being around him. No resentment, no fright.
4. Busola was able to convince us from the video testimony that she saw Pst Fatoyinbo as father figure and that is a strong attachment because even in the video, the emotional attachment was convincing, no resentment.
5. Her mummy saw the way she and Pst Fatoyinbo were going and as a parent, I know the Mummy would have been concerned about her adolescent and unguided excitement about her Pastor because Pst Fatoyinbo that she painted would have cleverly avoided the prying gaze of the mother but the woman noticed the changes in her daughter. Remember, other daughters knew and belong to the flock too but Busola's attitude drew special attention from the Mummy but Busola allayed her Mummy's suspicion.
6. I agreed a lady can be raped without shouting but the kind of young lady Busola painted made the scene appeared like that of poorly directed Nollyhood movie. It was a big duplex but she avoided telling us the number of rooms in the building and that could have confirmed how big the building was. The case was not issue of shouting but no one could hear her but she never bothered. Then afterwards, she quickly wiped off the blood stain on the floor; she destroyed the evidence of the crime. This suggests that she was not only not resentful, she protected Pst Fatoyinbo from being found out. Remember, she didn't wipe it off on his instruction.
7. All through the interview, there were cases of people alleging her of affairs with Pst Fatoyinbo or pastors in the church and such rumours or allegations don't come if there was/were not closeness observed. This doesn't mean the alleged affairs were correct or not but suggests a reasonable level of closeness, to the extent of being alleged of church funds expended on you.
8. Busola avoided telling us where she wedded or if Pst Fatoyinbo played any role in the wedding. She avoided telling us the circumstances that led to her exit from the church eventually but she didn't claim it was because of the rape.
MY INFERENCE FROM BUSOLA'S VIDEO TESTIMONY:
1. Busola was more than 18yrs when Pst Fatoyinbo had canal knowledge of her, if at all.
2. If the rape occurred as alleged, Busola was already emotionally attached to the Pastor; it didn't lead to resentment and she still protected him.
3. From Busola's confession, it is logical to conclude it was a relationship gone bad because she hung around Pst Fatoyinbo unreasonably for too long.
4. She claimed Pst Fatoyinbo was instrumental to how her relationship with his Cousin didn't work out and that sounded like a dog guarding it's piece of bone from being snatched away; he was protective or jealous of seeing her in relationship with someone else.
MY CONCLUSION:
Though it's difficult to prove beyond reasonable doubts that rape occurred or consented sex for that matter, Busola Dakolo is not saying the whole truth and she has spoiled her own case. Making the recording in a Church was attempt to manipulate brethren and granting exclusive interview with a media station suggests financial consideration and those make the motive of the testimony suspicious.
Finally, Timi and Busola Dakolo don't appear as if they knew what they are getting into before coming forward with these allegations; they have been around the Pastor for so long for this untoward and poorly prepared allegations. The interviewer, Barrister Chude made matter worse because he was particular about sensational testimony than justice in this case; you have the sensation but where is justice?
Again, I am neither for not against either of them; I am not exonerating Pst Fatoyinbo of unholy affairs with Busola Dakolo but she only has a sensational testimony that proves nothing. In fact, it's more self indicting than alleging Pst Fatoyinbo in my opinion.
I pray God heals Busola Dakolo of any emotional wounds, if any. I pray God restores and uphold Pst Abiodun Fatoyinbo if truly he was complicit in rape or affairs with Busola or anyone for that matter.
What has happened notwithstanding, both of them are my brethren and this moment shall soon pass.
Rotimi Johnson Ojasope.

A VOICE WELL DESERVED AT THE 9TH ASSEMBLY
A VOICE WELL DESERVED AT THE 9TH ASSEMBLY
By Peter Nebolisa.
Distinguished Senator kola Balogun of Oyo south senatorial district is a scholar and a Legislative member of the 9th Assembly.
Certain critical experience which he has gathered both within and outside the country has not only made his voice imperative at the chambers but has also Proffer quintessential contributions to the motions of his colleagues at the red chambers.
Last week 11th July 2019, he supported a motion sponsored by Senator Barau Jibrin of Kano North district, On Nigeria Membership Of The African Free Trade Area(AFCTA)
In one of his contributions, he pointed out three critical factors that will make Nigeria become competitive and takes a leap from being a dumping(consuming) nation; which are: Land, Labour and Capital.
He also stressed the need for government to invest in power and road infrastructure to enable the country move from a Consumer Nation to a Producing Nation, thereby creating wealth and providing enabling opportunities for the people.
No doubt Senator MKB representation to the people of Oyo south will present the zone with unique developmental opportunities within a short while.
At a micro level, he has been recognized by his Unprecedented Opinions to most motions at the red chambers through the Senate President, Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan.
With this speed, I have a clear indication that he won't relent until he lay's down his promises to the good people of his Constituency that massively voted him in.
Senator kola Balogun Leadership actions are best practically oriented and has shown certain critical experience to deliver.

RE- THE MIRACLES SEYI MAKINDE MUST PERFORM- LAMENTATION OF KOYE-LADELE:
I am responding to an interesting piece published by Oyo Insight on 24th April, 2019. I found it interesting because the writer started objectively but veered from the initial path when the confusion and sentiments that arose from the reality of losing Oyo State to PDP overwhelmed him. I have to respond to the issues raised in the later part of the article because Engr Seyi Makinde can not perform miracles but his God, the father can surpass the miracles listed by Koye-Ladele; A miracle is an event that appears inexplicable by the laws of nature and so is held to be supernatural in origin. Nigerians believe so much in the supernatural and we in the PDP are not less Nigerian.
Meanwhile, Mr Koye-Ladele displayed half education about the PDP manifestos and Engr Seyi Makinde's plan for the new administration because he asked many questions which he later provided mischievous answers to. I will try and help him provide the right and objective answers to some of his questions:
1. Koye-Ladele claims the first thing is to fulfill the electoral promises but I must correct him that that is the only thing. Claiming the second thing is to meet up or surpass Ajimobi's record is fallacious because Engr Seyi Makinde's electoral promises, when fulfilled will surpass the records of Ajimobi administration. All we have to do and focus on is fulfillment of our election promises, not beating Ajimobi records; that is the social contract with the good people of Oyo State.
2. He asked how Engr Oluseyi Makinde will solve the issues of elevated Obas and ended the sentence with "the case is in court anyway". The case is truly in court and I must remind you that Engr Seyi Makinde also made promise of giving traditional rulers due recognitions and respects; he promised to allow the court to decide in the case of the elevated Obas. Mr writer, you don't need to help us anticipate problems in that area; when we get to that bridge, we will cross it. One thing is sacrosanct, Gov Seyi Makinde will not make inflammatory remarks, disparage the traditional institutions and will always put the interests of all stakeholders into consideration before taking decisions on such sensitive matters, if at all he chooses to intervene.
3. You wanted to know where he intends to get funds for all the "frees" he promised, like the free education for primary and secondary schools. I will refer you to the policy document of Gov Seyi Makinde that talks about Oyo State road map to accelerated developments. The most important thing as itemised by GSM is blocking leakages in public treasury and maintaining focus in service delivery. For instance, the N3k per session from the pupils in Oyo State is about N. 9b per session, yet we can't see what it is been expended on. The model schools is another white elephant project that expends money but doesn't have direct impact on the overall standard of education in Oyo State. Spending so much on Tech University is another distraction when many public institutions are shut down in the state. Engr Seyi Makinde believes when there is reduction in spending on frivolous projects, reduction in siphoning of public funds and stoppage of executive aggrandizement, there will be enough money for the basic education level in Oyo State.
4. I think you're confused whether Gov Seyi Makinde wants to run Oyo State like a philanthropic venture and I will tell you NO, he won't do that. If he ran his personal business like charity organization, he will have nothing to declare as profits, talk less of declaring billions of Naira as annual tax. No doubt, Gov Seyi Makinde is a welfarist and practical progressive politician; the progress of the state and welfare of the people are the focal points of all his policies and his greatest selling point are his humility and sincerity. Where there is a will, there is a way; he won't run Oyo State like a philanthropic venture but the welfarist in him will surface in improving the lives of his people.
5. Issue raised on urban facelift and security: Yes, there are urban facelifts and like you rightly described them, they are like cosmetic makeover on an ugly face, it is ephemeral and deceptive. We need more than urban facelift, more than cosmetic makeover; we need plastic surgery and rebirth in some areas. We must stem rural-urban drifts with infrastructure development in rural areas, particularly the access roads to bring perishable farm produces to the urban markets, social amenities in the rural communities, protection of lives and properties, beyond major roads patrol by operation burst team and progressive engagements of our teeming youth population in Oyo State. Security, according to GSM is deeper than patrols on highways; provision of jobs for youths is part of security, keeping teenagers and youths in schools during session is part of security and paying workers as at when due is integral part of security because when these ones are neither idle nor hungry, the crime rates will automatically drop. Don't get me wrong, it's not an easy feat but there are plans to achieve it and though you sarcastically called it miracles, when we get to our limits, the divine will take over; anyhow, anyway, it shall be done.
6. Finally the issue of LAUTECH and Tech University are issues that will be solved as soon as Engr Oluseyi Makinde is sworn in because the body language alone will motivate the LAUTECH to full activities while stakeholders brainstorm on permanent solutions. Tech U doesn't need subvention because it's a private entity. The arrangements might be reviewed but no cause for alarm. Moreover, LAUTECH is University of Technology, Tech U is Technical University and they are just semantics; both are supposed to be for same purpose but self glory and over ambition have made the founders of Tech U lose focus. Why can't the new courses be introduced into LAUTECH curriculum rather than start a new institution when existing ones are dying of funds. Forcing Local governments to pay school fees of Tech University students is also misappropriation of public funds.
Therefore Mr Koye-Ladele, miracles do happen and if that's what it takes to get good governance in Oyo State, it will happen because we now have a group of leaders in Oyo State that will leave no stone unturned in an effort to make lives better for the people of Oyo State. Rather than lament publicly because you have refused to come to the realities of your party (APC) losing the elections to PDP, I will enjoin you to prepare yourself for long stay in opposition by being more articulate and objective in your analyses; the journey ahead is very far.
Thanks.

SELFLESSNESS IS WHAT WE NEED IN NIGERIA- SENATOR-ELECT KOLA BALOGUN CHARGES NIGERIANS AT EASTER
SELFLESSNESS IS WHAT WE NEED IN NIGERIA- SENATOR-ELECT KOLA BALOGUN CHARGES NIGERIANS AT EASTER.
The Senator elect for Oyo South senatorial district, Dr. Mohammed Kola Balogun has enjoined Nigerians to imbibe the selfless example of Jesus Christ, who could wash the feet of his followers and later died for mankind. "Nigeria has all it takes to be true giant of Africa and among the world powers if we are more concerned about other people's comfort and convenience.
According to the statement released by his Special Adviser on Communication, Mr. Rotimi Johnson Ojasope, Dr Kola Balogun gave this charge in his Easter message to the Christian brethren, people of his district, Oyo State and Nigeria at large. "This season reminds us of Sacrificial living and need to be our brothers and Sisters' keepers. The Nigeria of our dream is possible but we must emulate the leadership examples of Jesus and go beyond mere religions to following the tenets of the Holy Book, by loving our neighbors as ourselves".
Dr. Kola Balogun concluded by telling Nigerians to spend the Easter holiday in peace and brotherly love with one another and remember the less privileged as we celebrate. We should also use the opportunity to pray for the troubled spots all over Nigeria, where holidays and public celebrations have become things of the past due to incessant killings, militancy and insurgency; they are our brothers and sisters and we must remember them in our prayers always.
"I wish you a peaceful and joyful Easter. By the grace of God, next year Easter shall be better because our people would have started experiencing the New Era (Omi Tuntun) as promised by Governor Oluseyi Makinde and the new PDP administration in Oyo State".
Thank you.

ADELEKE'S VICTORY IS TRIUMPH OF GOOD OVER EVIL - DR. KOLA BALOGUN
The Senator elect for Oyo South senatorial district, Dr. Mohammed Kola Balogun has described the victory of Sen Ademola Adeleke at the Osun election tribunal as the triumph of good over evil and reverse of impunity in the conduct of the governorship election.
Dr. Kola Balogun issued this statement through his SA on Communication, Mr Rotimi Johnson Ojasope, as he congratulates the amiable politician and man of the people; "We have always seen the rerun election in few polling units in Osun state as injustice and consequent declaration of Oyetola as winner as rape on democracy but we are excited that the judiciary has once again risen in defense of our hard earned democracy".
The Senator elect went ahead to also congratulate the good people of Osun state and the PDP family at large, claiming this is victory for the people. "When our people become confident that the judiciary will do justice and uphold the tenets of democracy, voters' apathy will reduce and we would begin to experience great turnouts at elections".
He concluded by saying the declaration of the rerun as illegal and that returning officers have no power to cancel elections at any polling unit will reduce the incidences of inconclusive elections in Nigeria and further strengthen our democracy".

MUCH ADO ABOUT SEYI MAKINDE'S VISITS TO SW LEADERS
MUCH ADO ABOUT SEYI MAKINDE'S VISITS TO SW LEADERS:
The news of Oyo Governor elect's visit to Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and a couple of other Southwest leaders received criticism from some members of the public because they feel these leaders would cause the people's Governor to lose focus. I am not here to confirm the visits or the conversations but to itemise the leadership implications of such visits.
You would remember another young man that ascended great throne a couple of years ago, The Ooni of Ife, a leader I now love darely, he visited many leaders and consulted very widely after his coronation. No wonder, he's not only the most celebrated traditional ruler in South west, he has wittingly reduced rivalry among our rulers in the region; great leaders, trailblazers and games changers don't follow the known paths, they make new paths and turn stories to glory. Let me also liken this to Dr. Kola Balogun's strides after picking the senatorial ticket of the PDP; he focused more on reconciliation of PDP factions and integrating the new comers into the party structure, more than visiting existing party leaders because he felt stepping up the game and widening the base is more profitable than continuing in the "we-we party frolicking".
LEADERSHIP IMPLICATIONS OF GMS VISITS:
1. HE'S A WILLING LEARNER: The visits to the regional leaders and statesmen suggests Engr Oluseyi Makinde is a willing learner; he's ready to consult more experienced people so that he can take the state from where it is to where it should be. The former President is loaded with experience, both nationally and internationally. Likewise Jagaban and Chief Olu Falae; they have served in various capacities, long before Engr Makinde started aspiring for political offices. These are fountains of knowledge, partisanship notwithstanding; he will combine their virtues and discard the ones perceived as vices.
2. HONOUR TO WHOM IT'S DUE: Another interpretation of the visits is homage to the foremost leaders in the region; he could have made private visits but making it publicly shows that it is more in honour of the people visited than the visitor. He has gone to honour those who were ahead of him and in Yoruba land, we say that a child that knows how to wash his hands will dine with the elders. He has given honour to whom he considered it due.
3. FORESTALLING UNNECESSARY STRIFE AND RIVALRY: The visit is an olive branch of peace for the progress of the state sake. The people visited have been made stakeholders in the success of the his administration, the region's political headquarters. Though the only PDP governor in the region, he has demonstrated that he is not contending superiority with any of them.
4. HE IS NOT A LONE RANGER: Though the only PDP governor in the southwest, his visits will endear him to many of these leaders and their followers, irrespective of party affiliations. Though the only governor, he is not alone in actual sense. It shows that the interstate relations will go beyond party affiliations and that is very good for the state.
5. EXEMPLARY DISPLAY OF HUMILITY: The visits have demonstrated the strength of character of Engr Seyi Makinde; the "I have arrived" attitude is far from him. He visited the coalition candidates that endorsed him, High Chief Ladoja, many retired politicians he consulted before the elections and even the outgoing governor of Oyo State. This shows he has conquered self and he is not proud. Unlike many elected officials, who launch vindictive campaigns, he has resulted to extending hands of fellowship to everyone. He has demonstrated a large heart and great humility through the visits.
Though no one would have condemned him if he did not visit many of these leaders but visiting them is a good sign of departure from "constituted authority" attitude and leadership arrogance in Oyo State. I must not fail to mention one of my greatest lessons as student leader, a statement by Mr. Kayode Senbanjo, the Faculty officer of Science, University of Ilorin in 1994. He said: "Rotimi, you must listen to everyone who says he has something to say, you will learn something from all of them, if only to know how stupid they are". I have tried to practice that since then, though not easy. By inference, that Engr Seyi Makinde visited these leaders doesn't mean he takes what they said hook, line and sinker; we must trust him enough that he has his reasons, priorities and the visits would help him achieve great results in his administration. At least, that's how I see and celebrate the visits.
LEADERSHIP QUOTE: "Leadership is practiced not so much in words as in attitude and in actions".

SEYI MAKINDE UI DONATION. THE MESSAGE, NOT THE MONEY.
SEYI MAKINDE UI DONATION; THE MESSAGE, NOT THE MONEY.
The media was agog with the news of Oyo State Governor elect donation of N25m to the University of Ibadan after the havoc wrecked by storm last weekend. I know many commentators focused on the amount donated and the gesture of succor to the Premier University but I want to add the implication of the timing to other opinions on this donation.
That Engr Seyi Makinde donates to a cause is not new but donating as much as 25m barely a week after such capital intensive adventure as contesting governorship in Nigeria is loaded with deeper meanings:
1. NOT IN POLITICS FOR MONEY: For someone that has been contesting for elections since 2007 and has lost 3 previous elections, it could have been a time to count losses, sigh for relief and start projecting how to recoup his investments over the years. It is understandable if he is broke or claims to be broke after the elections but he is not.
2. THE GOOD WORKS CONTINUE: the philanthropic activities and bowel of mercy of the gentle giant simply continues, not about to decline. There is an attitude that comes with attaining what you have wanted to attain; satisfaction and reorder of priorities but Engr Oluseyi Makinde has demonstrated he is not going to change his good nature. For doubting Thomases, at least they will be reasonable enough to know he has not made the donation because he wanted votes from UI or goodwill of the people of the state. He has done it because it is a cause he believes in and he could afford to help.
3. THE STRENGTH OF CHARACTER: Consistency in doing good is a very strong factor in assessing the strength of character of the leader; ability to stick to same good nature to people when you don't need their help is crucial. Most Nigerian politicians change their attitudes immediately they are elected; most promises are canceled and they are no more nice to their constituents but GSM has demonstrated the opposite by remaining his usual Seyi Makinde.
4. MESSAGE OF HOPE: The donation has a way of suiting the nerves of the people after the psychological trauma of an election that turned to war; hoping they have not gone through the ballot revolution only to regret like in the past. The satisfaction that comes with "he is the same man, even after winning" goes a long way in promoting inner peace of the people. Our people are so used to sudden changes in behavior of politicians after the victory that it becomes unusual to find someone who doesn't change. Thank God man of the people remains good by nature.
The timing of the donation has differentiated true leader from intending philanthropists and political merchants; those who go about donating money during campaigns but relent as soon as the elections are over, whether they win or lose are the ones I describe as intending philanthropists and political merchants.

10th of March, 2019
The Senator elect for Oyo South senatorial district, Dr. Mohammed Kola Balogun has described the murder of Hon Temitope Olatoye (Sugar) as very sad and shocking. "He was a grassroot politician, philanthropist, serving federal Honourable and vibrant young man; so it's so shocking to hear of his death from unknown assailant".
According to the statement released by the Senator elect's SA on Communication, Mr Rotimi Johnson Ojasope, this has reduced our excitement for the landslide victory of Engr Seyi Makinde and our State House of Assembly candidates in Oyo State. The concluded elections have exposed the major lapses in the security structure of the state and we have a lot of work to do in keeping our people Safe. "

SHUN APC, VOTE SEYI MAKINDE- DR. BUSARI ADEBISI
Press Release
7th March, 2019
A call has gone to Oyo State people to shun the desperate and last minute antics of the All Progress Congress, APC's gubernatorial candidate, Mr. Adebayo Adelabu, the way their leader, Abiola Ajimobi was humiliated in the last senatorial election.
This call was contained in a Press release by the leader of the Action Democratic Congress, ADC, in Oyo State, Dr. Busari Adebisi in Ibadan today, in which he has dissociated himself and well-meaning members of the Unity Forum from the fake pronouncement of support for Adebayo Adelabu.
According to Dr. Adebisi, who is also a pillar in the Unity Forum, "those masquerading under the auspices of the Unity Forum are a gang of money mongers, ideologically confused and enemies of the Oyo state people who see nothing beyond their pecuniary gains".
Dr. Adebisi, a former Chairman, Oyo State SUBEB state unequivocally that "we remain committed to the welfare of the people of Oyo State and more determined to remove all vestiges that characterized the recklessness and impunity which Ajimobi's administration and APC personified in Oyo State.
He therefore called on all members of the Unity Forum, members of the ADC and well-meaning people of Oyo State to use their votes on Saturday to put an end to the financial recklessness that has crippled the state in the last eight years by voting rightly for Engr Seyi Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He noted that the cash carrying bullion van and arrogant politicians of the APC are already in town to bribe unsuspecting electorates to do their bidding and mortgage their lives for the next four years. We must say NO.
Dr. Adebisi noted that nothing shows more clearly the sadistic nature of APC government in the release of funds just yesterday to pay the arrears of salaries of long-suffering Local government teachers in the State, another version of "Trader Moni" in Oyo State.
The people of Oyo State should therefore say no with their votes to this culture of impunity, deceit, wickedness and insensitivity of the APV and ill-fated "Constituted Authority". Rather, the APC and it's candidate should be rejected at the polls for a more focused, disciplined, trusted and result-oriented young man that Engr Seyi Makinde represents. The choice for Saturday's election is a choice between darkness and light. We must choose light by voting for Engr Seyi Makinde.
Signed.

A DIASPORA GROUP CONGRATULATES DR KOLA BALOGUN.
The group, Nigeria Young Professionals in North America has congratulated the Senator elect for Oyo South senatorial district, Dr. Mohammed Kola Balogun on his celebrated victory of two incumbents; Governor Ajimobi and Senator Soji Akanbi in a way that confounds political analysts.
According to the press statement released by the group's President, Dr. Dare Akande and made available to the SA on Communication to Dr. Kola Balogun, Mr Rotimi Johnson Ojasope, the group rejoices with the senator elect and the people of Oyo South for saying no to godfatherism on behalf of the whole people of Oyo State. "We must encourage new entrants into our polity and discourage people going to the Senate as retirement or impunity cover."
The President of the group went ahead to implore the good people of Oyo State to come out enmasse and vote for the PDP governorship candidate, Engr Oluseyi Makinde and all the party's House of Assembly candidates in the March 9th elections.
This should be a transitional election in Oyo State and deliberate end to insensitivity, haughtiness and ruling by proxy in Oyo State. The new dawn of Omi Tuntun is realisable and the people must usher it in with their votes.
Best wishes from those of us in Diaspora and we are glad that our people have started liberating themselves from the shackles of bad leadership.
Signed.

Dr. KOLA BALOGUN IS DISTINGUISHED BY THE GRACE OF GOD.
That Dr. Mohammed Kola Balogun won the Oyo South senatorial district election is no longer news but what went under ground are yet to be sermonised. Lol. We need to learn leadership lessons and draw inference from this uncommon feat of defeating two Goliaths; David in the Bible defeated only one. No one would have thought MKB would defeat two incumbents; the serving Senator and Governor, until the grace of God made it manifest.
It is interesting to note that the humility and simplicity of Dr. Kola Balogun is exemplary and you would have given him a bishop collar or sheik turban but he's not that religious; he has faith in God and he's a realist, very simple. Not high sounding, not haughty and doesn't ignore any counsel, irrespective of who raised it. If it's not yielded, you can be sure he will explain why a superior opinion is considered. This is a testimony of God resisting the proud but giving more grace to the humble.1 Peter 5:5b.
Meanwhile, the greatest lesson for me as an individual is "distinguished, by the grace of God". Whenever anyone called him "Distinguished" before the election, there's an almost automated response of "By the grace of God". As a minister of the gospel, that caught my attention because when you hear a Mohammed saying such words often, you know he understands the role the divine plays in human enthronement. Whether on phone or in face to face conversation, whether tired or when the day just started, once you call him Senator or distinguished, the response is prompt and insightful; by the grace of God.
1. FINANCIALLY: The grace of God brought results beyond grades and account balance. There are many things we would have loved to do, many people we would have loved to mobilise, many groups we loved to make happier, many media taunts we would have loved to do but despite all, the grace of God has been sufficient for us. Such as we had, we gave, in simplicity and sweet words of Dr Kola Balogun and God has blessed our little. It's understandable that after being in the race of governorship since 2016; from APC to ADC before landing in PDP as senatorial candidate. That's God's faithfulness and providence that did what money alone can't accomplish. The wisdom and inner strength to prudently dispense limited resources within very short while.
2. THE TEAM: Without mincing words, Team MKB is a great one because they are constituted with men and women who are not after immediate gratification and very hardworking. Not that they are so large but they are very committed to the MKB 2019 vision. Well, as a politician and aspirant, I know such people are not common in our polity again; majority of the people will not do anything for free. Having a good team is another measure of grace.
3. SAFETY AND SECURITY: In a dispensation when state house of Assembly candidates and Federal Representatives candidates go about with body guards and armed police escorts, we didn't have such; only a volunteer unarmed security aide. On one occasion, we were stoned by touts who felt we didn't give them enough money. Another occasion, one of our convoy cars was impounded by militant youths who were angry that we didn't follow through with their itinerary and give them money. On Igbo-Ora to Eruwa road, we ran into armed robbers and the bullet hole on the car is a good reminder of the grace of God. We didn't suspect they are robbers; we approached the hoodlums around 2:30am, thinking the lorry broke down and the motorists are stranded, so we slowed down until we were shot at. With the kind of damage done to the car, there was no how anyone could survived it. When we had no human security aides, the grace of God was sufficient to secure us, even from perils of armed robbers and hoodlums. When many are afraid of what danger the opposition and opponents can put up, we just went about doing all we can and leave God to do what He would.
4. INTERNAL OPPOSITION: The enemy within would have made this aspiration crash land but for the grace of God. The senseless claim to the senatorial ticket by someone who knows better but chose to do the work of spoiler instead. The unholy alliance by some unfaithful party members can not be ignored, even though Dr. Kola Balogun and the DG of the campaign organization insisted I should not dignify them with any response. Maligning his personality and sowing seeds of discord among party members to work against MKB 2019 were enough to demoralise anyone but the grace of God has been sufficient.
We are here today, not because Dr. Kola Balogun is exceptional is his oratory, though we can't deny he's very good. Not because he's exceptionally wealthy, though he is not poor. Not because he's exceptionally influential, though he is of royal birth; he is just distinguished by the grace of God.

OJASOPE IS VERY GRATEFUL
OJASOPE IS VERY GRATEFUL:
Press Statement
26th February, 2019.
I want to start by saying when I asked God for MKB's victory as my birthday present, I never knew that would make the results delayed till my birthday but with God, delay is never denial. I appreciate this special gift so much that I was moved to tears of joy and could only sing to appreciate the Lord God almighty.
I must thank you all for your birthday wishes, prayers and sweet words on the occasion of my birthday yesterday, which you have tagged as "double celebration" and it was indeed a very memorable double celebration to me and my family. We know this kind doesn't come as mere coincidence and we appreciate your love and time to join us in thanking God and rejoicing with us.
Let me appreciate the Senator-elect, Dr. Mohammed Kola Balogun, his amiable wife, Prince Niran Adeyoju and the Providence Coalition for the opportunity to serve as the media Director and one of the Coordinators of the campaign in my local government, Ibadan Northwest, despite the tough opposition.
If I use a whole paragraph to appreciate Mogaji Olumuyiwa Makinde, the Director General of MKB 2019 campaign organization for so much confidence reposed in me over the couple of years and nomination to serve in the team, it won't be enough. You're a big brother and motivator indeed; you urged me on even when I doubted myself, pushing me further into greater task and deliverables. I am just grateful and thank God for your life.
I want to appreciate the media team for their resilience, we didn't have the luxury of time for frequent offline meetings but could only make it online, the Media Army in Oyo State; I called them army yesterday because they didn't stand with us but with democracy and the truth with exceptional display of professionalism and courage till the last moment. Thanking you is expedient because you are also products of this same crooked system and could have done otherwise. I have told many of you that your political programmes, online publications, public affairs analyses and pertinent questions have done a lot to heighten the level of awareness of our people and strengthen them for this great feat.
With the risk of being accused of repetition, I want to thank Dr. Kola Balogun and Prince Niran Adeyoju again for personal relationship that transcends official and political interaction; it's unbelievable that it's barely 4 months that I met these great partners and they have done so much for me in career and professional fulfillment in this short while.
I will appreciate my Omi Tuntun fraternity for the moral supports and Engr Seyi Makinde for releasing me to serve and expand in this capacity; the messages of encouragement, the pats on the back, the swift correction and suggestions, the team work with the MKB made the job easier. Prince Dotun Oyelade's call to pray and encourage me for the last crucial moments is something I can never forget; when a senior colleague and professional father gives such pronouncements, they carry great unction.
Now, to my social media constituency; the PDP Caterers, the COSMA team, the PDP social media team, the party youth wing, Ojasope political mentoring group and my campaign Volunteers. My Vision partners (within and in diaspora) too have been wonderful and very supportive, even after I stepped down, many still demonstrated beliefs in me and the greater Nigeria project. I can never appreciate you enough.
Lastly but not the least, I appreciate my wife for her understanding and supports, my family members for prayers and encouragement behind the scenes and off course the New Covenant Church members for ceaseless prayers and encouragements. Thank you all.
The March 9th feat is there for us to still accomplish and voting Engr Oluseyi Makinde is the bigger picture.
Thanks.
Rotimi Johnson Ojasope.
