OYO PDP, SEN HOSEA AGBOOLA TALKS TO THE PRESS
Protocol
Leaders of our Great party
Gentlemen of the Press
Distinguished Ladies And Gentlemen
It is a notorious fact that the Press conference purportedly held yesterday and addressed by Alh. Kunmi Mustapha was filled with half truths, outright misrepresentation and wishful thinking.
It is unfortunate that this factional group would wish away the Harmonisation of the Oyo state exco which was in the first place the template submitted for the resolution of the Congresses which were separately held in Ibadan last year, and which was subsequently acceded to at a meeting jointly attended by leaders of both factions at the party's headquarters in Abuja on tuesday February 20.
It is therefore a big shock and very embarrassing to watch as the Kunmi Mustapha group continue to engage the media in order to reverse a decision taken in the presence and with the knowledge of the National Chairman of our great party and other members of his executive.
Accusing the Zonal Chairman South West, Chief Eddy Olafeso of connivance and passing a vote of no confidence on him is as strange as it is unfair, It would appear that they are merely looking for a scape goat.
With all the emphasis at our disposal and the unity of purpose as exhibited by the Abuja declaration, we hereby pass a vote of confidence on the Zonal Chairman and admonish him to continue with his good work knowing fully well that he equally enjoys the backing of the national leadership. We also rebuke the Kunmi Mustapha faction for openly criticising the National body for performing its legitimate function.
It is not our intention here to rake up old wounds since the issue of harmonisation has been effectively resolved in a just and fair manner, but we are not unaware of the machination of the Kunmi Mustapha faction when it mischievously included the Labour Party, whose leader declined to join our party and Alliance for Democracy that was practically non existent by sharing offices among them as bargaining chips in order to have more officers.
We are unsure of the mindset of Kunmi Mustapha and his group when he said that he felt personally insulted by the invitation of the National Chairman that five representatives each should report in Abuja to resolve the issue. Is he saying that the National Chairman has no right to invite party members to the headquarters for consultation?
The truth of the matter is that majority of party members are satisfied with the decision to fairly harmonise the state exco and give kudos for the painstaking manner it has resolved the issue so that the party can move forward and face the challenges of the coming elections in Oyo state. The issue of harmonised state Exco was inherited from The National Executive Committee headed by Senator Ahmed Makarfi which is in public domain in his interview published by the Nation Newspaper of TODAY Tuesday February 27, 2018 page 32, titled "PDP will Reconcile before 2019" while answering fourth question, Senator Ahmed Makarfi was quoted on the issue of Oyo state as saying "In Oyo state, the Party is harmonised since Senator Rashidi Ladoja and Seyi Makinde came in. Of course they have their differences at Congress but they too have agreed to harmonise where they have differences at congress"Said the former governor of Kaduna state.
This press conference is addressed to put the record straight and to emphasis the need to embrace peaceful resolution that will bring about all-inclusive and vibrant party that will change the political landscape of Oyo state in 2019 with our victory at the polls.
Thank you for your time
Signed
Senator Hosea Ayoola Agboola

ENGR SEYI MAKINDE CLARIFIES PARTY ISSUES:
For the avoidance of doubt and before mischief makers continue to gloat in the little skirmish within our political family, ( and this will be amicably resolved soonest) let me reiterate for the umpteenth time that Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, former Governor of Oyo State and the Osi Olubadan of Ibadan land is not only my Leader but the Leader of our party, the PDP in Oyo state.
Generally speaking there are two types of leaders. A leader thrust upon his people by circumstance and a leader who has paid his dues and has earned universal respect for his conduct and antecedent.
Senator Rashidi Ladoja belongs to the latter and this is as well-documented as my genuine reverence for him.
This reiteration is incumbent in the light of the convenient heresy being peddled by those who wish our party to repeat the same horror mistake that was made in 2015 that gave birth to a second round of anguish for our people in the hands of the current administration in the state.
I will be a fool to contest the leadership of the party with someone of Senator Ladoja's calibre when I do not even belong to the third string in the pecking order of our great party.
I come from a very humble background. I am not only the son of Olatubosun from Ajia village in Ibadan who trekked long distance to the city for Western Education and in the process became a modest primary school teacher who struggled his way to retire as Chief Accountant of ANCEL,a renowned Cooperative outfit and his vulnerable dotting wife who retired as a telephone operator in government service, but I am also honed and nurtured in the culture and tradition of Yoruba that accords priority to biological age and accomplishment.
What type of home do I come from if I disrespect someone who is my late father's contemporary and who had begun his exploits while I was still in the primary school carrying the bag of my dad to school?
I have reasons to believe that Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja is in the forefront of the rebirth and resurgence of the PDP that upholds the tenet of justice and fairness because of his realisation that you cannot clap with one hand (apologies to MKO Abiola) and that our victory depends on oneness.
God forbids that we allow the mistake of 2015 to repeat itself as the people's Chief Tormentor is waiting in the wings with glee to install his cohort to continue his famed misrule.
The current situation within the PDP is a clarion call for us to urgently and dispassionately decide whether we want to contest the 2019 election for its sake or we want to win the election to liberate our people from a paradoxical democratic captivity.
I do not blame those who ask me in bewilderment what the hell I am doing in politics especially after my experience in 2015. But I am not a quitter; I am a marathon runner from the hills of Oluyole and I was also a beneficiary of the Free Education introduced by Uncle Bola Ige while I was a student at Bishop Phillips Academy in Ibadan and the policy worked seamlessly and produced millions of us.
Looking back and seeing how governance has been turned on its head into rocket science particularly in the past seven years or so, I shudder to think of how many Seyi Makindes have been buried through straight-forward corporate lies, deceit, arrogance and frustrating misplaced priorities.
I bet with my life that many of those young men and women I pass by on the streets daily are far more intelligent and smarter than I can ever be and were poised for a successful future until bad leaders came to town.
This must and can change and I mean change in genuine sense, not a vote catching cruel gambit.
At Bishop Phillips Academy I had the best WAEC result in 1985 since the school was established. This was due to the commitment of teachers and facilities but these days, teachers are demotivated, facilities are non-existent and students are virtual illiterates.
With complete humility, I admit that I seized the opportunities of a system that worked and have achieved a lot in my young life, but my father's admonition resonates each time that I am tempted to recline to my comfort zone.
He would say àjoje kò dùn, b'enikan kò n í.
Which means You cannot enjoy your wealth in the midst of poverty.
But the one that haunts me most till this day is Olowo kan larin Otosi mefa, otosi ni gbogbo won. Meaning A rich man in the midst of the poor is also a poor man.
But do our leaders have this conscience?
Thank God the masses will trust me to protect and deploy their vast resources for their overall benefit because they know the sources of my God-given wealth.
I spent my hard-earned money in 2015 to rescue our people while they spent government money.
They will do same next year and they will fail.
This statement is important to assuage the fears of the vast majority of our people.
There is no leadership contest within our party. We have a common leader in High Chief Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja and it is our collective prayers that God will use him to pilot us to the Promised Land.
Amen.
Signed.
Engr 'Seyi Makinde.
WHY I DIED TO SELF AGAIN YESTERDAY. By Ojasope
Firstly, I want to appreciate everyone that liked my posts, commented; dropped words of prayers and best wishes to mark my birthday; they were overwhelming. I am not a moneybag, I have never served in any public office and I believed your words because you were not obliged to say or write them; that made me become indebted to you all and I pray God uses us more to impact this generation. Thank you.
Since I started consulting to contest in 2019, I have become more reserved and reflective due to enormous task of preparing myself for serving in a unique way. I discovered:
1. If I love myself, I should not bother to venture into this race, I am going to get lost in serving my generation, if truly I want to serve. It's a 25/7 task, according to President Obasanjo.
2. I must define how I want to *accomplish the difference in a short while* because the decadence is unimaginable.
3. It is a privilege to serve and I must ensure I don't disappoint my supporters and sponsors.
4. I must count my cost and be ready to continue serving without appreciation because even when you're completely spent, you might still get condemned.
5. The next generation deserve a record of some guys that made efforts to leave a better society for them and I know it would be an honour to be among the laborers.
6. This is a service to God and it is better done considering yourself dead to self and to finish any godly race, that is sacrosanct.
So, I died again yesterday and I resurrected with a stronger determination to serve myself endlessly to my generation and make sure when I die, it's the grave that will mourn because I will be so empty it will almost reject me.
Friends, I am born again servant today and I am persuaded more than before that I was born for such a time as this; therefore, I crossed the bridge of self consciousness into discovered and selfless pursuit of service, not to change you or the system but tireless and passionate drive to make enduring difference in my sphere of service.
With unfeigned humility, I pledge my life to make difference in service to my fatherland as unto the Lord; I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me always and I am not ashamed to publicly affirmed that He is my strength and inspiration.

PDP EXCO......NO VICTOR, NO VANQUISHED. By Prince Dotun Oyelade.
PDP EXCO......NO VICTOR, NO VANQUISHED
The Coordinator, Communication and Strategy of the Seyi Makinde Organisation, Prince Dotun Oyelade has said that the harmonisation of the Oyo state PDP Executive by the National body calls for sober reflection rather than flexing of muscles or jubilation.
According to him, the disagreement was between members of the same political family who are focused on a single objective which is to end the regime of anguish of the working class, untold poverty caused by misplaced priorities, desecration of long-cherished traditional Institutions and insensitivity to the self-esteem of both leaders and the down-trodden.
The harmonisation he said, was in line with the template which the Caretaker Committee earlier put in place had recommended.
Prince Oyelade expressed delight at the maturity of leaders across the divide and singled out Senator Rashidi Ladoja for special praise. Other leaders whose name came in for mentioning included Dr Saka Balogun, Hon Mulikat Adeola Akande, Senator Hosea Agboola, Engr Seyi Makinde and others.
Mobilisation and sensitisation of the people to take their fate in their hands in the build up to the 2019 elections will now begin without distractions while the Youth Volunteer Corp will lead the way because of the belief that our youths, frustrated and abandoned, are finally ready to take their rightful position, the statement added

Preparing for 2019. Let’s not forget hardship brought upon us. By Olawoyin Edris Busayo.
Preparing for 2019: Let’s not forget hardship brought upon us.
By Olawoyin Edris Busayo.
NIGERIA is a country where we forget so quickly, the hardship some of our leaders have brought upon us. Shall one say we are immune to hardship? We just seem to move on like a clock. But let us not forget that the clock moves with durable batteries. But do we have durable batteries to move on smoothly like a clock? Looking back to the 2015 general election, we will all agree that what the majority of people clamoured for was “CHANGE.”
Change of leaders, change of old orders, changes in food prices and some other basic amenities that could add value to human life. The rate at which Boko Haram was striking in 2015 was so alarming that hardly would a day pass by without a record of death or casualties in the northern part of the country. We were made to believe that the terrorists were being sponsored by politicians who felt it was their time to exact a revenge. Chiboks girls were abducted. There was tension all over the states. People were just tired of the government in power then.
We also recall the scenario that played out when Professor Atahiru Jega was reading out the results of the presidential from different states. I guess we all remember the man shouting “You must count River State result!”? The situation, if not properly handled by Jega, could have thrown us into another war. Why? Because the majority of Nigerians had decided to bring in a new leader. Even those senators and honourables who did not perform well seized the opportunity of the change agenda to win a second term. I guess we also remember the professor that was given a lamp to read out results of the presidential election? We may also not forget the jubilations that came after the result was announced officially. Beer parlours and suya joints recorded high patronage. Lest we forget, people were going about with calculators, adding and subtracting election results, the majority of whom were not even politicians but patriotic citizens. This indeed shows that the 2015 election result was widely accepted and the man who wore the cap was the people’s choice.
So, the questions now is, how well has the present government performed? How much was petrol in 2015 and how much is petrol in 2018? If I may also ask, what was the minimum wages in 2015? And what are the minimum wages in 2018 considering the increase in fuel prices? How much did it cost you to board Ibadan to Abuja bus or flight in 2015? And how much is it in 2018? Companies which cannot cope with the economic situation embraced staff downsizing, and many could not pay the retained staff. Overhead cost is now the opportunity cost in our present economy. My dear country people, nothing has changed for better. We are now paying double to buy basic needs. With the increase in the prices of basic needs, the minimum wages have not changed; it remains stagnant. And civil servants will be expected not to swallow N36 million, claiming a snake did the trick? Are you sure you will be able to kill all the snakes in the civil service? Don’t bother yourself with any antivenom. Why? Because you have not done the right things to ensure that the minimum wage is increased to meet up with people’s needs. When you look at the rate at which people trek from their homes to their workplaces, you will be shocked. But I will tell you not to be surprised because you caused it.
If we had our own refinery and our agricultural sector was doing well by encouraging the youths to farm, we may not have suffered so much. So, now that 2019 election is fast approaching, could we have a general endorsement? I doubt it unless necessary things are done to ameliorate the suffering of the masses. Meanwhile, can’t we have a youth as the president of this country? We need youths with a vision and progressive ideology who are doing very well in their various field to pilot the affairs of this country, youths with a record of excellence.
As the 2019 election approaches, we are all seeing how selfish some of our leaders are. You can see how our parliamentarians are dabbling in the election timetable to favour themselves and also how our executives are grumbling over the amendment of the election timetable. If truly it is not for their selfish interest, why the hullabaloo? If you are widely accepted in your community, ward, local government, federal constituency, senatorial district, state, region or all state, should there be any need for the fright? Enough of pretence! All is not well with Nigeria. Stop telling us that the government is on top of the situation. Swing into action to reposition our economy. We must have our own refinery, affordable health care, quality education, good roads, constant power supply and other basic amenities. Kindly change your gear; the current gear is weak.

BUHARI IS MY FRIEND By Edmund Obilo
BUHARI IS MY FRIEND
He is the only Presidential candidate I always support
I found him capable, rugged and kind
His personality consumed me
I love Buhari,
It was that intense that on a journey to Aleshinloye Market to get curtain, that I found the market men and women surround me, asking me who they should vote for between Jonathan and Buhari.
I waisted no time in telling them that Jonathan was not an option, that Buhari is the man.
I used my intellectual skills to lecture them on why Jonathan must be voted out.
I created the messiah image of Buhari for them to feed on.
I told them that in Buhari we have a Future of Hope.
It became a debate.
There were staunched Jonathan supporters in the market. They were mostly of the Igbo extraction.
They confronted me with their argument on why Buhari must not win.
But, to some extent, I was able to divide their Jonathan Solidarity with my argument.
I told them Jonathan is weak and lack the WILL to build a great nation.
In my argument it was clear that I hold Jonathan responsible for the monumental corruption of his time.
I swore that Buhari will tackle corruption and develop a masses oriented economic policy that will lift millions of Nigerians out of poverty.
This got them interested.
I said under Buhari, the Nigerian state will have a rebirth, that its structures and modalities will be reworked.
However, I promised them that if they gave Buhari their votes, and he shows early signs of failure to meet those promises, I will speak out.
Buhari is my Superman,
But, somehow, I don’t like going to Aleshinloye again.
Buhari has not shown the WILL to unite the country and create a Future of Hope.
He can still do it.
Mr. President,
The time to move into the Future is now.
I love you,
But I feel it is time to take a leap into the Future.
Mr. President,
The Fourth Industrial Revolution, is the fourth major industrial era since the initial Industrial revolution of the 18th century.
The emerging technology breakthroughs are in fields such as:
Artificial intelligence
Robotics
The Internet of things
Autonomous Vehicles
3D printing
Quantum computing
Nanotechnology
“The Fourth Industrial Revolution builds on the Digital Revolution, representing new ways in which technology becomes embedded within societies and even the human body”
“These technologies have great potential to continue to connect billions more people to the web, drastically improve the efficiency of business and organizations and help regenerate the natural environment through better asset management”
Sir,
We need One Nation bound in Freedom, Peace and Unity.
Oh God of creation,
Direct Buhari’s cause
Guide him right
Help him the truth to know, so that we will have love and in honesty we will grow.
Then we will live just and true and attain great lofty height.
We will build a nation where peace and justice shall reign.
Mr. President,
Please, don’t contest in the next Presidential Election.
It is time to produce those who will lead us into the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Sir, it’s not your role;
Your role is to create the right atmosphere for this to happen.
Work with urgency to rethink the Nigerian constitution,
Kill all form of ethnicity in your dealings,
Start an inner cleansing of your immediate environment,
And get men and women of good behaviour to assist you to efficiently run the state.
Your role is to produce the next Leaders on the ground of Good Conscience.
He or she must be ready to leave in the Future...
Ethnicity and religion does not matter.
They are languages of identification and peace.
They should not be played to the detriment of the State.
I love Nigeria!
We are one!
Let’s be one.
President Buhari,
The growth of our country is in our hands:
We can build good schools for our children.
We can establish the best health care facilities for our people.
We have the resources to ensure that no Nigerian is hungry.
We can build aeroplanes, those who do are not from the sun.
We can manufacture our brands of quality cars.
We can construct bridges that will be among the best in the world.
We are a great people limited by our flaws.
The time to Fly is now!
The texture of the Nigerian state provides it a uniques place in a new world order.
It’s an amalgam of spirited clans refusing to use their identity as a framework for remaking the state.
Nigeria can send a manned craft to space in 10years.
Nigerian made and equipped War Ships can begin to patrol the Gulf of Guinea in shows of peace and strength in 5years.
Our universities can be remade and repositioned in 10years that they will begin to compete intensely with Cambridge and Princeton.
The time to Fly is now!
